D-Day

Yeeks....the dreaded day will be upon us in less than 2 days....I can already forsee what I'll be doing on that day....WORKING lor...chay. Cannot help but lament on my lack of suitors...hur hur. No flowers, no gifts, just pure hard work on that day. BUUUUTT....ITS OK LAH. SERIOUSLY. Can get used to it one....haha. But I really like what my uncle mentioned earlier when he dropped by my place. When we were talking about my cousin Audrey's (who's younger than me) approaching marriage, he consoled me and commented "Its really ok lah. Just remember that you must never get married for the sake of getting a partner, or for shutting up people's mouths. If you ever get married, it should be to someone you really care about and love." This is like the best advice I've heard in years, and my uncle's the only elder who had never nagged at me for not being able to get attached. If only more of my aunties/grandmother could think like him. And that's including my mom too.

well, put it this way. you don't have to spend money to get pressies, don't need to be stress over where to go for dinner, don't have to squeeze with the crowd etc =)
