Homey on Friday

Heh very 乖 today, went home straight after work for dinner. Had actually left slightly earlier today, around 6.20pm, so I can reach home on time to have dinner with my mum. Ever since I've started work here, I've had her leave aside some dinner for me almost everyday cos I reach home too late to eat with her. So my constant dinner companion turned out to be the TV.

Today, since the office was rather empty and I had also finished completing the financial budgeting for FY 2007 on time (must praise myself leh....first time doing this..heh), so I decided to leave office early. Sigh.....leave early but still reach home the same time. Cos only realised I left my mobile in the office when the train was 2 stops away from my alighting station. Suay until cannot suay lor. Bo bian have to go back take lah, since it'll be another 4 days before I go back to work. Lousy luck here!

Christmas! I spent it with hostel friends, just like the previous years. After eating a rather cheap dinner at the Hong Kong Cafe Kim Gary (Vivo city - rating so so, but really quite cheap), and exchanging our presents at this unlikely venue (I got a mini radio, thanks Spy P!), we made our way down to the hippiest (spelling right?) mambo place in town...St. James Powerstation! As expected, the queues were crazy and its not that comfortable waiting patiently in the cold weather (luckily not raining). Most fortunately (in fact, we were real damn so fortunate), Bluesky's hubby happened to be in the queue and he offered to let us join him lah. Wah lau, so paiseh having to walk past all the people queueing at the back, only to realise Bluesky's hubby was right at the front of the line. Had to bend my head low and ignore all the whisperings behind us...haha. We were in the club in no time, and even managed to get some seats (all thanks to The Hubby again!). Couldn't order alcohol as I had taken panadol a few hours before the dinner, so had to settle for fruit punch. ET joined me (why? why? why?). Think I must be getting old, cos didn't really find the music very heart-thumping leh. Think I'm still stuck at the I-should-be-so-lucky, lucky-lucky-lucky era...dang! After the rather brief countdown, Corinni and I headed down to the dance floor to get some exercise...a bit sian just sitting around and shouting into one another's ears. Music got slightly better after midnight, but as ET wanted to catch the last train home, we left around 1am. Total $$$ damage? 30 bucks for 2 hours plus of unidentified music, 2 glasses of fruit punch and a sore throat from the shouting and smoke. But still fun lah... =)

My cousin Ah Xiang is baaaack!!! Took leave on 28th to check him out at the airport. Was pouring almost the entire day. He still looks rather unchanged, except a bit thinner. Not much to eat there (France) I guess...haha. So sad, he's leaving again next Thursday. Such a rush right? He won't be here for CNY too, so can imagine my aunt's sadness. But while waiting for him at the airport, I sort of hatched this brilliant idea of joining him during his summer vacation to travel around the countries near France, together with his brother Sirfercauress. Cool huh? Cheaper this way mah, and I've never backpacked before too. But takes a lot of planning lah (A LOT!!) so must still 三思而行 lah. But it'll be nice if this actually works out.

Yay, tomorrow going bowling at the Civil Service Club with Spy P. They have one of the cheapest rates in town, and now with the NEL station nearby, its quite a breeze going there. We tried it there once and was rather surprised at how well maintained the place was. Structure may look a bit old outside, but the bowling lanes are at least newer than those found at Marina South. Gimme strikes and spares man!!!!
