Still stressed....but am dealing with it calmly
So many things had happened since the last time I blogged. Gosh. Everything had occurred in such a whirlwind speed that I barely had time to relax and surf the net. Now I feel absolutely so guilty for neglecting my beloved blog. Poor dear....
First things first. I wanna say a BIG THANK YOU to all my best buddies and concerned sisters for the encouraging comments and help you've given me during this stressful period. And especially for being there to just hear me talk nonsense and release all the troubled thoughts I have inside me. Thank you for having the confidence in me too! That really helped a lot. In times like these, I sometimes feel like I'm some small midget fighting to get a control over the big big issues in the outside world. It had been quite a trying time I must say...but I know I had benefitted from this definitely. No more comfort zone to retreat to, so its time I GROW UP!!! =)
I said my last goodbyes to my dearest colleagues last Thurs. Nearly want to cry ok! They gave me a very lovely bracelet (Citigems!), but the most touching gift I received was this 3 photo frames containing a mixture of polaroids which my colleagues had gone around taking in the office. These photos captured the persons whom I know I will miss most in future, which is exactly why I consider this present the most precious! They even made captions underneath each polariod! So 感动 right?
To show my appreciation, I bought cakes from The Patissier which was featured in The Sunday Times a few weeks back for their gorgeous designer cakes. They definitely don't come cheap, but the looks on my colleagues' faces when they took the first bite made it all worthwhile. My favourite is the Passion Fruit Meringue. They had other utterly delicious ones such as the Earl Grey, Green Tea, Strawberry Cognac, etc. You really must give it a try someday. The cakes are all baked fresh, and they only bake one set per day. Which means once each 'flavour' is sold out, you cannot get it anymore on the same day. They have one outlet at Ann Siang Rd (near Maxwell Market) and another one at Mohd Sultan Rd. I spent a total of $76 on the cakes. Cool huh?
Then came Friday, and which I took leave to help out in my good pal Sher's wedding. I had thought this would be one of those 'normal' weddings, you know with the same routines and blah blah so on. But surprisingly, I quite enjoyed this one. Perhaps its also because Sher happened to be one of my bestest friend. We had only 5 Jie Meis in the morning, and were pitted against a grand total of 10 Xiong Dis! Luckily our head Jie Mei, Regina was an absolute SUPERWOMAN in her role last Fri. She had all the games and sabo thought out and was the very efficient planner and guide throughout the entire wedding. And of course, our 10 Xiong Dis were also the absolute most sporting guys around. Very cheeky people...but fun (Somehow all of them were crazy over the Japanese guy Hard Gay)! Suffice to say the wedding was a BLAST! The dinner was also quite great...cos I was the emcee mah...=P Very refreshing to get to do it in English for once....and of course I was paired up with a very eligible co-emcee (Sher's cousin). Heh heh. When Sher made her speech during the dinner, her sister just bawled right in front of everyone. Wah lau, I nearly did so too ok.....quite touching lah. And Sher's cousins went absolutely mad over the alcohol available and drunk so much till one of them was totally bonked out when the dinner ended. IMPRESSIVE I tell you!
Sighz....after all this fun, its now back to work liao. Tomorrow's my official first day of work at the new office. I've not even finished moving all my stuffs from my old office....its 6 years of accumulated crap...so you can imagine how much that is. Haiz...I really hope I can get some of the urgent matters sorted out by tomorrow at least....its really killing me now, cos I keep thinking of it day in day out.
However! I do have something to look forward to. Something which I promised myself that if I'm able to get through my first event, I'll reward myself with it. Something which is BRANDED and EXPENSIVE....heh heh heh!
