失败乃成功之母

I had actually tried my hand at baking Tiramisu last Sun, but the results were horrible (to say the least!). I dipped the Italian Ladyfingers in the expresso for too long, so most of them turned out soggy and YUCK! Even my nephews disliked them (and they eat almost everything!). I was a bit disappointed lar, cos this is an EXPENSIVE dish damn it! The stupid mascarpone cheese cost me $12, not to mention how I went around begging sourcing for rum and Baileys from my friends and colleagues (didn't want to buy). But it was a good lesson lar....will definitely TRY again when I feel slightly richer...heh heh.

Today, I made HERSHEY'S BROWNIES!!!! Had a bit of problem initially with the sugar (the recipe needed 2 CUPS!!! That's like diabetic lor!), and the huge amounts of butter too. But luckily all went rather well, and the end result was better than I had dared to expect (after my Tiramisu foray, I didn't want to ask for a lot). At least 是可以见人的啦...haha. What'ya think?




And yar, I promised Bluesky that I will put up the URL for the supposedly rather accurate Chinese personality test. Here you go! Didn't know that Spy P was also interested in the test...heh heh. And hor, it'll be more accurate if you know your time of birth as well and according to Spy P, you can easily get that from your birth certificate.
