Such a Zhek Ark day
Lunch. Attended my auntie's wedding reception at Summer Palace (Regent's Hotel). Wah the food so damn shiok ok! It was ala carte (spelled correctly?) buffet all the way...and the wedding couple had arranged 11 freaking courses for each table!!! And each course was their 招牌菜, or so my new uncle claimed. But I must admit...its really smacking licking good. Anyone who goes there...do try their
1) 叉烧酥 - 9.9/10...the best I've tasted..the cha siew gravy literally oozes out of the very crispy outer skin..don't try will definitely regret!
2) Black pepper beef - 9.8/10...the beef was in cube form, and its so tender...MY GOODNESS!
3) Fried Rice - 9/10...suffice to say it tasted good even when we were all so full liao (it was one of the last dishes).
4) 麦片虾 - I didn't eat this...but my mum said it was the best she's tasted so far...and my mum's quite the chef herself!
The buffet is only available on Sun (non public holidays) and cost $43 per adult. Not cheap, but well worth the money, if you're like my sis type...can eat and eat one.
Afternoon tea. Masa is in Singapore!!! For those who dont remember who he is, his house was my warm nice place of abode when I toured Tokyo last year! He arrived yesterday, and would be flying off to Jakarta tomorrow afternoon! So this was a 难得 opportunity to meet up with him again! Gosh...thus also began the mad mad flurry to purchase gifts for him, as well as for my other Japanese friends in Tokyo who hosted me before. I nearly went crazy coming up with gift ideas...luckily my sis helped me some. And right before I met Masa at 4pm, I managed to conjure a grand total of 4 presents for Masa, as well as for Yoko, Mai-Chan and Sue. I tell you hor...these gifts is 一定要给的. Why leh? Cos when I was in Japan the other time, these 3 ladies kept showering Winnie (my travelling mate then) and I with so many presents, that I was quite quite taken aback! They've only met me like once...and I already received so many presents. Even better, is that about half a year later, when one of Winnie's Japanese friends came to Singapore, Yoko also passed him a gift to send to me!! Imagine that leh...and I had not even given her anything yet! I must say the Japanese are some of the most hospitable and friendliest people around!
Anyway, I ended up with Masa and my sis (she kaypoh tagged along) at Kinokuniya Coffee Bean and ate another mango mousse and strawberry shortcake. I think my stomach is 无底洞 one.
Dinner. Had fried Thai noodles at Nooch.....couldn't finish....was then, quite sick of food liao. Not good feeling....
Now...don't dare to sleep so early....scared will have big tummy...and indigestion also...its madness lah.
Btw...I'm also supposed to bitch about the extreme lousy food at the Japanese restaurant located inside Taka food court. The restaurant had apparently changed hands recently, and while the previous one offered good Jap food at very affordable prices....this new one is YUCKS YUCKS YUCKS! I mean...I dun like it very much lah....the servings were so much smaller that what was depicted in the menu, and the prices were like SUPER EXORBITANT lor!! The average sushi plate on the conveyor belt cost $4 each...and me, Spy P, and ET each spent $17 plus on the food there, and left the restaurant feeling only 50% full. We had to settle for dessert at Spageddies after that. Damn jia lat.
But fortunately, we had the extremely generous (and loaded) ET to treat us for the the Jap food.....so must give her the necessary 客套话 lah...

We do have quite alot of stuff in common! Good Food / Shopping / The dramas we watched and also the songs we listen too!
I have just finished "Chronicles of Ah-Wang II" It's very funny...shd watch it! There is another show called "Chu(3)-Han (4) Jiao(1) Xiong(2)" about the Great Chu Conqueror. Pretty good.
I just bought the newest Lee Hom disk (comes with MTV DVD). Good songs too. I like JJ and there is this new singer called Yang Cheng Ling thats is pretty good too. Basically I like Karaoke-able songs! ;-)

Yar, 杨丞琳's songs are surprisingly quite catchy! And her singing ability is better than I had expected, given her sweet cutie-pie looks! =)
Hmmm...my fav song on the newest Lee Hom album is 大城小爱...sounds very folksy and un-lee hom... =P
