小小的成功=大大的鼓励

TADA TADA TADA!!!! Out of my very short baking stint (which only started last Dec), this is the most successful I've gotten so far. Presenting my 含辛茹苦的杰作......VALERIE KONG'S (my 师傅) WALNUT COFFEE CAKE!!!


So obviously, the cake's appearance is not its 最优秀的卖点 lar...but my sis actually gave it a 7.5/10 rating leh! For now, that makes me rather satisfied liao...
Actually I had wanted to blog a lot more on my very first baking success one...but am now watching 大长今 on tv, and the situation is so bleak and dismal (all the 尚宫 going against one 韩尚宫) that I've somewhat forgotten what I had wanted to write about. So crappy.
But anyway, I'm quite motivated to get started on the other recipe which Valerie gave us...the one on the Strawberry Shortcake, except that maybe I may replace the strawberries with mango slices...hmmm yum!

Looks quite good. Can bring a piece to office in the future. hehe...

Btw, since you are into cakes and such now. Let me tell you that Regent Hotel serves the most heavenly and sinful chocolate cake. Do try it if you have the chance.
