Love is in the air......
Completed my first biathlon last Monday....heh heh, except that I only swam lah....left the running to my colleague Brown. It was quite a breezy and cool afternoon...for some reason, the sky was rather cloudy during the entire time I was in the pool. So, lucky for me...did not get too tanned/sunburnt.
But unlucky for me too, that my competitor was far far too strong and I only managed a miserable second for the mixed team relay. It was miserable because there were only 2 mixed relay teams lah...so you can say I let Brown down....cos the other lady swimmer was faster than me by almost an entire lap. But of course lah....she was an ex-school swimmer leh....and believe it or not, we started swimming together with the other men team's relay, and she still finished first ok! Even faster than the guys!! But I was not too bad, cos there were a couple of guys who took even longer than I in finishing the 6 laps....heh heh. But it was a good experience....I've never swam competitively before....and I must admit it was quite exhausting to finish 6 whole laps as fast as I could. Think I still lack a lot of training....but still fun lar! As I've mentioned, I participated purely for the reason of challenging myself, and at least I know that my stamina can still win some of the guys....heh heh
And oh yes, so how did you guys celebrate your V-day yesterday? Mine was nothing special...cos did not receive any presents/flowers lar...as expected anyway (Oh yar, forgot that I did receive a packet of chocs from a good friend... =)). But I did receive V-day smses from a couple of good friends, plus Mr. Dark, and SURPRISE SURPRISE......the super filthy rich guy whom Bluesky introduced to me a couple of weeks ago. I was really really stunned leh...cos I thought he would probably have forgotten about me. But maybe he was just being nice lar..... and maybe he was sending the message to a couple of other lady friends, and just added my name into the 'mailing list'.....aiyah...who knows. And surprisingly, I did not feel sad when I saw so many couples holding bouquets of flowers along Orchard Rd.....I actually thought that it was quite nice to see so many couples enjoying this lovey-dovey season, and that there are still guys who care enough to give pretty bouquets to their other halves. Nice! =)
