I should be so lucky...lucky lucky lucky

Wah...seems like the Dog Year 真的待我不薄 yeah....so far, the money has been rolling into my pocket quite incessantly, during the past mahjong sessions I've played. But its all very very small winnings lar...cos we all play extremely really small bets one. Plus somemore, we do it the AP (arithmetic progression) way, rather than the usual GP (geometric progression) route. So everything was quite amateur...haha. But still, at least I've won something. I'm not usually this lucky one....and today, everything was so smooth sailing for me....sigh....sometimes don't want to hu so fast also cannot help it....HAHAHAHA.....I would have won even more, if not for my cousin Sirfercauress who later kept winning with at least 4 doubles....and I was the one who kept throwing the winning tile somemore. =(

Oh yar recently, I also did something which I previously, would have NEVER even considered doing.

I signed up for a biathlon (yes Batman, its the one organised by your side. You going?)

This is crazy ok. Cos I usually really HATE running. When I had painstakingly finished my 2.4km run nearly 8 years ago (JC year 2), I swore no one would ever be able to force me to run another km anymore. Running is so BORING!!! And round the track is hundred times worse..cos the scenery doesn't even change.

But this time, because the organisers promised that its going to be a SUPER mini biathlon (and yar, its really quite mini, only need to swim 3 laps, and followed by a 2km run), I thought that this could be the perfect chance for me to challenge myself lor. I love swimming, and 3 laps is like quite chicken feet lar. But the thing is, I'm better with distance swimming, than speed swimming. And I tested myself last Sat....took around 7 mins for 6 laps. Thought it was rather pathetic...haha. But anyway, instead of the Woman's Open category, my in-charge advised me to sign up for the mixed relay, which means one person will swim, and the other will run. We have some pretty good runners in our division, and it seems like we just lack swimmers. So the arrangement is that I will swim 300m (6 laps) and my partner (Brown) will run 4km. Sounds pretty ok leh.

I just hope I won't cause Brown to lose any chance of winning some medal, cos I had wanted to join this biathlon, solely for the purpose of self-challenge and motivation. I had never thought of winning anything lar....don't think I'm up to standard yet. But I know my partner is a REALLY good runner....sigh.....maybe I should warn him of my standard first. So that no high hopes = no disappointment. Heh heh...

Aiyo, cannot lah. If swim 300m, I might still be ok but run 3.2km (can't possibly expect a gal if I form mixed team, right?), I will be running behind the safety vehicle.

And don't even talk about men's open, man...
