TGIF....People!
Dunno why, but I've been feeling extremely cheerful and high today, right from the moment I stepped into office. This must be my happiest Friday the 13th! Must be partly because I managed to smoke my way through a dua liap meeting yesterday. I was such a pro man....haha. But most importantly, a number of decisions were made by my boss during the meeting, which allowed me to have a better picture on where my projects were leading to. Thaaat was great! No longer 一头雾水liao.
And I finally saw sunshine today!! My mum should be the happiest though, cos the bedsheets she just washed can finally be aired properly. I would never imagine myself to say this, but it actually felt good to feel the familiar perspiration on my neck while walking back to office after lunch. No more umbrellas needed! And best of all, no more wet feet. Super yucks!
The People Park's Market has finally reopened, after 1 long year of renovation (and serious cleaning up!). Though the place used to be quite filthy, it still provided all of us a good place to grab some award-winning food lar. Fantastic Yong Tau Foo, Bak Chor Mee, Orh Hiang, Zhi Char, etc etc. And to top it all, they have a wide array of sundries shop at the higher levels which sell highly discounted toiletries! Super cheap...esp if you buy in bulk. Good food, plus cheap shopping....what's there not to like?
So weekend's coming.......gonna be busy for me though. But its happily busy, cos I'll be trying out a new cookie recipe. Have been baking quite a lot since Christmas......dunno why, just suddenly have this passion for it. It really makes you feel good when someone appreciates your baking results. And I can sense that my mum is happy about it too.....cos she knows that I pretty much suck in cooking dishes....which is kind of sad, cos my mum is a wonderful wonderful chef. So now, at least I can bake.....still not totally gone-case YET. And most importantly, I have this cousin who would gladly eat up everything I bake (even the rejects) and still give me the thumbs-up! Haha....that's quite encouraging leh....for a beginner. So now, I'm not that afraid of my cookies coming out lousy, cos I know that no matter what, she'll be always willing to eat up everything. And her sons (my nephews) will also follow her.....haha!
And of course, will be meeting Jane TOMORROW!!! Very excited about it! Have even started planning what I'm going to wear. =)
