Kindhearted...or 恶作剧?
1) reaching the bus stop at a particular time to catch my usual bus (it must be the SAME bus, cos only this bus has the best aircon temperature and the seats are not so vandalised...yet)
2) Finding the best window seat (preferably not one which has the aircon vent blowing on my neck/head, or which has that irritating sloping feet rest underneath)
3) PROCEED TO SLEEP THROUGHOUT THE JOURNEY
Okaay, I know step 3 is actually quite dangerous for ladies lah, cos once asleep, we are easy targets for potential 色狼 and 小偷s who sit beside us. But cannot help it lar, its such a long journey for me, and I can already memorise all the 'scenery' one can see on the journey. So nothing to do but sleep lah.
Its not like I've not had my fair share of weirdo-meeting onboard these journeys. I especially dislike those passengers who, because of their big sizes, take up nearly 70% of the seat space, leaving only 30% for me to squeeze in. And because of all the 'squeezing', I literally have to 'rub shoulders' with these people, and that makes me feel very uncomfortable (and also quite threatened). I don't like skin contact with people I don't know leh.... and I'm also not sure if they do this on purpose one lah. Its quite annoying and most importantly, it disrupts my beauty sleep on the bus.
But anyway, what I really wanted to blog today was my journey this morning. I was having quite a good sleep (got dream some more, if I remember correctly) when I was abruptly woken up by this guy beside me. Usually, I can only see 2 reasons for strangers to wake me up on the bus.
1) The bus conductor is here to compute the EZ-link card
2) The bus broke down halfway, and all passengers have to get down
I've kena both examples before, but today was a refreshing change though. Haha. The guy woke me up and actually said
"Do you know where you are stopping?"
You know, for about 5 secs, I was staring groggily (and stupidly) at him, trying to decipher what the world he was talking about. Then my reply was 'Har?", to which he repeated his question lar "Do you know WHERE you are stopping?".
I've by then, fully woken up from my sleep and thus answered him with a ready "Yar! I'm stopping at the Interchange (like as if he wanted to know)" He then gave a slight smile and I continued my sleep lar.
But what a nice guy hor? I hope his intentions were as decent as I thought they were lar, that he had only wanted to make sure I don't miss my stop. Anyway I think so lar, who would be so free to wake sleeping fellow passengers up for any other reasons right? So I can confirm he is really a nice guy....cos honestly, I don't think I would even do this to the stranger sleeping beside me (on the bus lar!)....damn so paiseh leh!

The only time I will wake a person up is when the fella is still asleep as the bus approaches the interchange. Other than that I keep to my own business since I think asking the other person serves no purpose since (a) he/she could have already miss the bus-stop, and (b) the fella knows when to wake up and we are distubring the fella's sweet dream.

maybe you were drooling while sleeping or your head was leaning against his shoulders (you know how some people can sleep like nobody's business) and he used that question as an excuse to wake you up? hmm....
