Beauty up my life

Hee hee hee. I spent an entire afternoon enjoying my monthly beauty treats all at one go! Very shiok arh! But also a bit stressed, as I arranged the first 2 sessions back to back. Was late for the first one (eyebrow shaping), so kena (extremely!) late for the 2nd one also (leg waxing). So paiseh man...the lady who did the waxing had to push back some of her clients' appointments because of me. But on the other hand, there were also countless times where I had to wait a couple of minutes for my appointment with this lady. But of course, that absolutely does not mean that I should not be faulted for being late today. =P

Had a leisurely late lunch....(sound so tai tai) and then proceeded for my final appointment - a haircut. This time round, I chose not to patronise the Bishan Salon #1 which I raved about previously. True I like the hair stylists over there, but the wait is really agonising! And plus now sure peak season one....cannot imagine how long I have to wait to get a haircut. The last time I went, I spent 2 hours in the salon, and the actual haircut only took around 20 minutes. Scary right?

Today, I took up a recommendation by Her World magazine and went to this salon called Hair Folio at Stamford House. The stylist I chose (Cristine) is reportedly very good with short funky cuts (and somemore can last as long as 10 weeks!). You know its really difficult to find a stylist who can do a mean job with short hair, especially mine cos I'm quite difficult to please one. So usually when I'm lucky enough to find a good one, I'll stick to him/her for a long long time.

This Cristine was friendlier than I thought she would be, cos she looked quite dao in the magazine shoot. And she also explained to me patiently how the cut should be, and how I can style my hair everyday (VERY IMPORTANT!!). Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the results, but would have to wait for a while more to see if the shape would still hold when my hair grows longer. But the price hor....its the highest I EVAR paid for a haircut.

A Freaking $57!

I'm really curious to see if 10 weeks later, I'm still happy with my hair.

And hor, for this price, I can go for 2 haircuts at Salon #1. =P

Amazing! The amount of luxury packed in one life. The main difference between a woman and a man. A woman would zhng herself while a man would rather zhng his possessions(eg.his car). =p

snowystars: Thanks! Will put this in my hair stylists - to try - list! =)

Triple period: You're so right. But I believe there are also guys out there who would pay big bucks to go for the same treatments which women enjoy!
