Such a interesting 收获!!

Went volunteering this evening at the Arts House for a performance called 'A Broadway Christmas Carol". Its actually a local musical cum play with the storyline of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, and a good mix of songs from many different musicals, such as Sound of Music, Oklahoma and Annie (just to name a few, in case any of you are intending to watch it). Pretty good, I would say for a local production with just 3 artistes who took on at least 2 different roles each throughout the show. The pianist was superb though...absolutely fabulous! I enjoyed myself thoroughly and perhaps even more than when I watched Rent the musical. You cannot help smiling at how the actors twist the song lyrics to fit the plot, and the small surprise changes they make here and there to the story. A good Christmas show to catch if you want something fun, light hearted and one which gives you a warm Christmassy feel.

And dear GUTS members, you WOULD NOT BELIEVE who I met at the Arts House this evening during the volunteering. This person was the other volunteer for today's show, and someone who had MIA for so long that I'm sure we had all nearly forgotten him. I give you 2 clues ok:

1) He is the most GIAM man/person I've met in my life

2) He likes to go volunteering at weird places such as Laos and Cambodia.

You all can guess liao right? My eyes nearly popped out when I saw him tonight!! But he still looks EXACTLY the same and also started asking about all of us lah, such as who is married, who is STILL SINGLE AND UNATTACHED, etc etc. I really never never expected to meet him during my volunteer work at Arts House....life's just so FULL of surprises, ain't it?
