Nil Sine Labore

Damn I've forgotten how DEMORALISING learning a new music instrument can get...not to mention its extremely frustrating and #$%#$#$%%$ too!! I always screw up when I play the flute in front of my teacher...and then he would ask me if I had practised enough. I REALLY DID LEH!! It sounds quite ok when I do in on my own, but I just cannot produce the same results during my lessons! Very very pek chek....and sad.... =(

Then I remembered VJC's motto......

Nothing Without Labour

How true.

I just hope the opposite is true also...

You could be suffering from performance anxiety. Don't be disheartened. Continue to practice and you will reap the fruits of your labour in time to come. Perhaps you can play a piece during my house warming. :)

Ha ha ha ha...yeah right...I can do that if you want to drive your guests away lah....free of charge one... =)

But thanks for the encouragement...I'm still struggling, but it gets slightly better after each practice...
