Caught Jackie Chan's 神话 with my sister yesterday night at PS. I started lining up for the tickets around 6.30pm (for the 8.15 show), and was horrified to realise that tickets were already selling fast! And I thought I was still being early...the counter guy also very farnie one. When I asked him what's left, he said, "Only the first and 2nd rows.", I then asked if it was bad....he replied "Yar, quite bad actually" Ha ha ha, was quite shocked at first to hear him say that...thought he would try to persuade me that the seats were still ok. But its always good to hear the truth about the product before you buy it lah, I guess. Furthermore, the tickets were free (cos my sis got some GV movie coupons for her birthday, which expired yesterday!=P), so didn't feel too bad still. Though I ended up watching most of the show lying more on my lower back, than my butt. Very unsightly and unladylike, but who cares lah. Watching with sis only mah.

Most fortunately, the show was quite entertaining and fun, so I was not too preoccupied with how uncomfortable my seating position was. To be honest, I'm actually a BIG BIG Jackie Chan fan! Ok, maybe a fan of his movies lah. I've watched practically most of his shows before, except! except!...those made in Hollywood...yucks. Still support the good old Hong Kong movies, with slapstick comedy and cool kungfu stunts. But can see he's getting old....face a bit puffy and droopy. But still so nimble and 能打! Woo hoo! And I was really very surprised that 30-40% of the show was in Cantonese! Our censorship board actually allowed that! Cool! Very authentic! And before this show, I never even knew the Indians had their own style of kungfu, which isn't half as bad as ours too! The things I'm ignorant of! Gosh....another interesting thought after the show was how the 2 leading ladies differed so much in their beauty and attraction. 金喜善 (the Korean lady) is more of the 古典美人, quiet, demure, refined, absolutely so appropriate for her role as the princess. Mellika, our Bollywood actress, is vivacious, busty (very!), sexy, gungho, and her body has got a bit more bak than Ms Jin But both still very pretty lah..

My favourite part of any Jackie Chan films is always the NGs after the show, which he never forgets to include in. Its like an encore after the show ends. I'm always so amazed how during the NGs, everything looked so fake and difficult, but the end result can look so smooth and effortless, especially the 武打场面! Which is why I never complained (ok, not much anyway), when our movie ticket prices keep increasing...cos you've just got to take a look at how massive some productions are, then maybe it can get you to realise that the $9 you pay is actually not a lot. Plus some more, our prices here are already considered cheap, as compared to Japan and Australia. And blame it on the pirates too lah....I'm sure they played a part in the increasing ticket prices too! Humph! Don't even get me started on them yet man! It could take a while, I promise.
