Yep yep, my mum is off to her annual overseas trip next Tues. This time, the destination is the rather exotic Yunnan, where they are famous for their Lijiang scenery. Interestingly, it only takes a 4 hours flight to reach the country...even nearer than HK!

Everytime my mum goes on her so-called yearly retreat, her daily household chores would be divided 'equally' among the 3 remaining family members, namely my father, sis and me. But most of the time, I will end up doing most of the stuffs, cos my sis is usually home only when I'm asleep, and I don't really trust my father to do any other chores, except to mop the floor (which he is rather good at), and boiling water. Basically, these chores include:

1) Burning joss sticks
2) Watering plants
3) Boiling water
4) Washing cups
5) Washing and hanging the clothes

To say the truth, they are not that difficult tasks to complete lah. But its usually only when my mum goes overseas, that I realise how many chores she has to do EVERYDAY. In comparison, my sis and I only do the occasional dish washing and clothes folding, and its not even a daily affair. Plus, we don't even need to worry about meals, cos my mum would always make sure we get home cooked food, as long as she can help it. 世上真的是妈妈最好啊!!
