Taking on the 音乐棒
Thanks to Snowy star, I now know that there is such a thing going around in the blog community. Yay….learnt something new today.
Total volume of music files on my computer
Nothing. Zero. Don’t even have my own PC at home. All the music files I have are in my beloved Ipod mini (which when I last saw yesterday, was going at only $348!! SO CHEAP!!!). Anyway, have only around 1GB of music files in my MP3 player.
The last CD I bought was
Kung Fu Hustle soundtrack + 陶吉吉 Ultrasound 1997-2003 (heh heh… got it at only $4.90!! Genuine some more!)
Song playing right now
Song playing where? In my Ipod mini? On my radio? Right now, YES933 is playing a Jay Chou song whose title I don’t remember …..it is the theme song in the movie
Five songs that I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me
This is tough…. limit to only 5 songs? How about 5 songs in each language….can lah…
Mandarin/Cantonese
1) 爱很简单 – 陶吉吉 (waiting for the right person to sing this song to me…haha!)
This song reminded me of the stressful study periods during the hostel days, where my room mate and I would limit ourselves to only a few minutes of radio luxury per day, and this very romantic song (sung by the cute cute 陈晓东 at that time) caught our attention during those rare radio moments.
Twins
Introduced by my cousin Elaine who sang this song during our KTV session
(I hope the title’s right…sounds funny though)
Frankly, I don’t even like this song. But since it is the bridge anthem of GUTS, I think its fair that I should give it a mention. So Ah Mah, if you are reading this post, please give me a treat hor, cos you were the one who loved this song so much.
The mother of all romantic songs. Be it the original song, or played on the piano, its just simply 表达出来all the love and emotions one wants to show. Quite one of its kind!
Japanese
New Jersey United~ – Chemistry
Title song of the Japanese drama “The Wedding Planner”, where the weddings in it were the type any woman could die for!!
2) True True – Cagnet
4) The perfect vision - Minmi
5) Hitori – Gospellers
This song is so good, that every time I managed to listen to it on my Ipod mini (cos its always in shuffle mode), I feel as if I am not even entitled to hear the song. Don’t ask me why I feel this way. Plus, though I don’t really understand what the lyrics mean, the melody still never fails to bring a tear to my eyes.
Other languages
1) Habanera (Carmen) – Charlotte Church
2) First of May – Emi Fujita
3) Nessun Dorma (Turnadot) – The 10 Tenors
4) Yahk-Raung-Dung-Dung (Thai) – Palmy
Thanks to my Thailand fanatic choir friend Jiayi, who introduced this fab song to me!
Yes933 DJ, Mary Bukoh, recently put this Mongolian song on air (I think it was last Fri), and many many people called to ask who the singer was, and how to get the CD. Its sung by this small girl and her parents, and in it, the girl posed several questions to her parents, who then answered her back in this very uplifting melody. I guarantee you, after listening to it, you will feel like getting hold of this little girl and pinching her cheeks, cos she sounds SO DARN CUTE in the song!!!! Very memorable song!!!!
Five people to whom I am passing the baton:
1) Mydaemon
2) Teddy
3) Hadayala
4) Office Boy
5) Zow ( I hope you read this…..cos if I hadn’t put your name, I wouldn’t even have 5 persons to pass this baton to…..so pathetic)

As for the treat... err no need to be so formal right? Hee, hee.
