Am I getting Single, Desperate and Ugly????

Ok, while I may be single and A LEEEETLE BIT desperate, I certainly hope I will never be UGLY! So why is the singlehood issue coming up again….haiyah *sigh sigh sigh* yesterday, got the news that yet another friend of mine is pregnant (married, of course lah). With Zoe Tay having just given birth (like my business like that), AND one of my close friend about to give birth this month, AND the wife of one of my colleague about 5 months pregnant, I really wonder why the government said birth rates are dropping??!! When you have so many people around your age getting married and/or pregnant/about to give birth, AND you are still single AND unattached, how can not get a bit desperate??? Maybe slightly more than ‘a bit’ desperate lah….Hence, I have made up my mind to take some proactive action, instead of waiting for miracles to happen.

So what proactive active to take? Of course must make use of my SDU membership lah (paid $50 for it some more!)! Looked through the latest event calendar, and decided those speed dating thingy should be able to yield the best returns. I particularly found one of them quite amusing. Its done over a nice dinner in a posh restaurant….you have 3 courses, and you change your dinner partners each time you change a meal course. Then at the end of it, you can write down the name of the guy/girl you want to continue meeting. But it will be so sad if after the event, no one asks for your number or indicate their interest in dating you again. So, to prevent me from getting too embarrassed, I shall bring a close single friend along to 给彼此打打气. Now I fully understand how those ladies feel whenever they say their biological clock is ticking fast…..cos I also can feel mine ticking!!!! Reports show that women are at their most productive when they are in their 20s…..me? I only have about 4 more years left before the 30s come….so 没时间了!!! Of course, I won’t marry any Tom, Dick or Harry just for the purpose of having children lah, but to some people, finding their lifelong partner can take up their entire lives. Who’s to say I won’t be like that? 我只求找到一个知心人来过下辈子，能够拥有一个小家庭就会是更完美！可是这是可欲不可求的，不是吗？ At the very least, no one can say that I have not tried my best….=)

I have sent invitations to a few friends to join me in my quest…..I wonder what their replies will be??? Will there be more ‘You nuts ah?’ or ‘Heh heh…ok lor…I also desperate liao’…..pls pls…let me have at least one desperate single friend.
