A blog entry of all sorts
Carousel tune: 黄种人- 谢霆锋 (check out the very impressive flute music in the song)
A blog entry of all sorts
Am seeing a lot of the trailers of 韩城攻略 on TV mobile and the small screens at the MRT stations recently. I just have this gut feeling it would not be as good as 东京攻略, especially since it has both 舒琪 and任贤齐 in it. So sad….I was hoping this second installment would have the 原班人马 of the Tokyo Raiders…..郑伊建 and Tony Leung were so funny in the movie, though Kelly was only so-so and Cecila Cheung was just a flower vase. I don’t even remotely like舒琪 and任贤齐, and I’ve always felt 任贤齐 has this gek-say look, just like how my cousin said Elektra was gek-saying as compared to the really wu-say heroes like The Dare-Devil (I sadly had to agree with him, even though I really wanted to defend Elektra as she’s one of the few female super heroes we have now….reason being…I nearly felt asleep watching Elektra). Anyway, I would be Hokkaido during the CNY, so dun think I would have a chance to even consider if I should watch韩城攻略. Hah!
These few days, I started noticing more and more people sporting the distinctive IPod earphones everywhere…on the train, streets, shopping centres, etc. Wah….since when Ipods became so 大众化 liao? Haiyah….and I thought I was being hip, choosing the Ipod mini over a Creative Mp3 player…=P Must be Singnet lah….they started offering free Ipod minis for those who sign up their broadband plans…such an attractive offer, who will refuse?? But luckily, my friend told me the Ipod minis they offering are mostly in the gold and grey? colours…..so won’t have the pink one which I own…..Hah!
My choirmaster recently started giving me a crash course on drums playing….yeah, the kind those rock bands play in their MTVs and concerts. Turns out to be a really interesting and stimulating activity, coz it forces you to multi-task constantly, with each hand AND feet playing a different drum and rhythm. Its like at one time, I gotta get all my 4 limbs moving at a different speed and rhythm. Very very Exciting!!! Now I understand why those drummers can get so immersed in their instruments…..ITS SO COOL!! Till now, I’ve learnt the rock beat and disco beat. Yesterday, my choir master gave me a slightly more difficult rhythm, which until now, I’ve yet to totally grasp. But very challenging, and I swear I will keep practicing and practicing (even while traveling in Japan) till I get it. Its been some time since I’ve been given something so fascinating to master. Hah!
