Shark Tale - 2 and a half /5 stars

See?? I was right when I said in my prev blog that I would most probably be disappointed over how I spent this $8.50 last sunday. Ok, it was not that bad, given all the big stars' voices (which I didn't really care about), and the here-and-there funny bits in the movie. But on the whole, it was still unimpressive, just like Dreamwork's (DW) previous cartoons for eg. Shrek 2. In fact, I was quite bored over how DW likes to replicate the human world into the world their cartoons are built in. Like for eg, in Shrek2, the palace city where Princess Fiona was from, there were stuffs like Starbucks, Hollywood, etc etc. And similarly, Shark Tale was about there too. Can get sick after seeing this more than once leh. Its like, they put so much efforts in the movie's settings, colours, voices, songs...but they lack the one thing which Disney is best at....STORY. Like Finding Nemo....that's a classic. You remember the movie way after you've seen it, and I still find it entertaining after watching it quite a few times. Same goes for Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Emperor's new groove, which by the way, if you've not seen....pls DO IT NOW!!!! ITS SO HILARIOUS!!!!! I nearly killed myself from all the laughing! And right now, I cannot wait for The Incredibles to come out. I heard its the last collaborative effort between Disney and Pixar....hmmm...I wonder if the Disney's future cartoon movies will be as good as now without Pixar. I pray and I pray that it will.......
