Disney and Pixar still doing GREAT!!

Disney and Pixar still doing GREAT!!

It seemed like I just finished typing the previous blog on the eager anticipation of a loooong weekend ahead, when it struck me that this looong weekend has whizzed past me liao!! Time really does come and go at an astonishing speed....esp during the times when one seemed to be enjoying life. Anyway, the past 3 days have been a-ok.....went to catch sneak preview of The Incredibles (as I've promised myself I would), and also suffered excruciating cramps last Sat. B4 I give my reviews on the movie, I must talk a bit on this ailment that comes to me every month. Yes....its the woman's thing....and it's been killing me every month since I was 14. I'm always impressed by the fact that I'm still surviving....after all the pain its caused me. But last Sat seemed esp terrible (no lah....actually it seemed esp painful every month it comes), and me and my family were supposed to have dinner at The Soup Restaurant last sat to celebrate my birthday. But I think I practically went through the entire dinner not knowing what I ate due to the cramps and the nauseous feeling that came with the pain. Aiyoh....I regretted leaving my house the moment I stepped out of it. You can imagine how terrible it was during my schooldays, when this cramps clashes with the exam preparation period. Its like all I wanna do is to stay on my bed the entire day, and only leave it for my meals and toilet breaks. But you know lah....during exam time, how I could have spend my time so extravagantly on bed? Suffice to say....very very zao gao jiu shi le! Luckily, now that I'm working, I can take leave whenever the cramps come, and I can stay in bed for however long I want. No amount of medication/herbs could cure this sickness....only panadol can stop the symptoms for some number of hours. But I didn't want to rely on panadol, and its not good to take so much of it also. Aiyah....very ma fan la!

Ok....enough of my complaints. About The Incredibles...well.......it was not as good as I thought it would be....but it was DEFINITELY better than Shark Tale. Surprisingly, TI turned out to be more heart warming type, than gao xiao. But it was still pretty funny during certain parts....but the more interesting part was that it showed us how superheros go about their lives when the world no longer needs them like b4. I thought it was quite an good issue to dwell on, as most of the superhero movies only capture the glory moments of the heros and heroines. All in all, still worth the $9 I spent on it.....and if you are going to catch it...do watch out for the small son in the show....he's really FUNNY!!! And the music also quite good....like those 80s retro music in the batman and robin old cartoons....
