Mother is back!!!

Ok ok...actually she has been back since last Sun liao. But boy, did she suffer in China! It seems during the final day of the tour, her entire busload of fellow travellers fell sick and got warded into the local hospital. Most of them were suffering from severe diarrhoea and vomiting....luckily, they managed to recover on time to board their plane back. Wah...such an experience man....to have to visit their hospital, which my mum remarked, wasn't too hygienic looking and clean. In fact, she thought their toilets were downright disgusting...but bo bian lah...when in rome, you gotta do what the romans do....hmm...did i get the phrase right? Anyway, you get my point. All in all, my mum lost about 2 kgs after the incident, and also had to miss some of the performances on the last day. However, she was very impressed with the scenery at JiuZhaiGou....and i also saw her photos...looked quite scenic and beautiful! They also attended a 'bian nian' show (otherwise known as 'changing face' show), which she said was really good! Nobody could really figure out how the guy changed his masks so quickly and easily....and anyway, it seems this is also a dying art in China. Cos I guess the younger generation there are not that interested in learning this form of art, which may or may not be able to allow them to earn a lot. But this is not the only form of chinese art which is slowly dying away.....i think Chinese opera singing is also in the process of fading out, esp in Singapore. So sadz....

Anyway, now I've been given the task to try and claim back all the medical expenses which my mum and her 3 travelling companions incurred in China, from the insurance company. Wah...this is the first time i'm doing this, so I'm not really sure if it works boy! It seems like its so easy to buy insurance...but to claim money....hmmm
