Not much going on these days
Not much going on these days....
Its been boring-boring since last sat. But there had been some improvements to our dance practices though.....i now no longer go for arranging sessions where I can get most of the people down. Most of the times, even if they said they can make it...very likely, there'll be some urgent stuffs they need to attend to last minute. These days, I'm already satisfied if there is at least 2-3 persons who can come. The rest, I prefer to arrange additional sessions to teach them the dance, and if need be, individually also can. Hence now, instead of learning the dance together, I become something like the instructor liao.....but good for me also, as I can now say I know the dance inside out, upside down already.
Yesterday, my office had our monthly gathering and as usual, we had talks in the morning and team sports in the afternoon. I really dislike the afternoon programme, cos I have always been extremely lousy in team sports, such as Captains Ball, Basketball, etc etc. I just cannot seem to be able to coordinate well with my team mates, and this has been the case since I was in school. The only team sports I like and sort-of am better in is volleyball....other times, I much rather go for squash or swimming. Maybe this really has something to say about my ability to work in teams? Fortunately, I have no problem working together with other people in group projects....=). Anyway, this year, we still have one more team sports to go...and most likely, it would be basketball...yucks! I really hate this idea of the champion shield, which was 'kindly' suggested by our boss. It goes like this....we have a few games, each played during our monthly gatherings, and the overall winner gets to win a shield. Aiyoh....like I want! In the past, when this idea was still non-existent, we used to have such interesting afternoon programmes.. such as organising visits to other companies/places of interest. Now, I always dread the afternoon sessions. BORING!!!
Today is going to be slightly scary for me, cos I was being 'arrowed' to give a presentation to someone who is visiting our office. Actually, I have went through this presentation a few times, but still feel a bit jittery about it. Have never like giving presentations, but guess no one can avoid doing it at least a few times in their careers....
