Waiting...
Waiting...
Doing practically nothing now, but just waiting in the office for time to pass so that a few minutes later, I can hop down to the nearby performance stage for my volunteer duty. Too far for me to go home first, then come back again. If you think I'm volunteering as a performer, HA! I'm flattered, but the sad truth is, I'm just the common helper who tears the ticket stubs and ushers the guests to their seats (and also more often than not, direct them to the nearest restrooms). But its a swell 'job', I get to watch shows for FREE!! Where better can you get such a good deal! But I must also say that I'm extremely grateful to the theatres's mgt for always being so kind to allow us to catch the show together with the audience. Since the start of my volunteer stint, I've watched many different kinds of show, ranging from comedies (my fav!!), kiddy shows and the usual plays and musicals. Hence the reason why on average, I volunteer at least once every 2 weeks, more if they are showing performances which I like! Best of all, I've even mastered how to use the walkie-talkie (FINALLY), and not just anyhow use, but to use it with a professional air...heh heh...and of course, to tear the ticket stubs efficiently! Honestly, its not a easy thing, and trust me, never attempt to tear more than 3 stubs at the same time. It's too thick and you will only end up embarassing yourself in front of the guests...=P
