Dream Guy turned bus stop hero
Dream Guy turned bus stop hero
Too excited for words...finally had some communication with this Dream Guy whom I meet everyday at the same bus stop, waiting for the same bus and at the same time...
As usual, the bus came (though slightly later) and the both of us (together with the rest of those also waiting for the bus)'politely' gathered to get on the bus. I was starting to get up the bus steps, when one of my worst nightmares happened. The moment my right foot reached the bus step, the shoe from my left foot fell off! The worst was that when I turned my head to find it, I couldn't even spot it, leaving me feeling slightly bewildered and EXTREMELY embarrassed at that point of time. The only words that popped out of my mouth at that moment was 'I dropped my shoe' to the person behind me, who in turn said 'ok' but proceeded to get on the bus anyway! The rest of the passengers did not bother with me too, so finally, out of desperation, I started to get off the bus steps to find my shoe (couldn't have left it lying around...it was still rather new) when this Dream Guy did the one act that so will make me grateful to him for decades to come. He made a signal to me to stop me from getting off the bus, then proceeded to pick up my shoe from under the bus (no wonder I couldn't spot it) and placed it on the steps in front of me. When I slipped my foot into the shoe, I felt like I was Cinderella! Heh heh....
Such a memorable beginning to a long week ahead, which would otherwise have been boring and uneventful (except for 'Friends' on TV, of course)....Hmm...not too sure if I can bear looking at him tomorrow when I wait for the bus. Mabbe I will take the train instead...
